Sweet and Naughty!

A few months ago, I sign up to ebook site called Renta. like Amazon kindle or ebook site, you can buy ebooks to read. Renta specializes in romance manga/comics, shoujo, Yaoi, Yuri and much more. I used to read Yaoi for in MangaFox free online but the site is not reliable. Also, I want to start being more supportive of artist creative work.

I discovered Renta via Twitter. At first, I wasn’t sure about the site but I noticed a lot of people read from Renta.

On Renta, they have loads of Yaoi manga for me to feast upon. So much hot Yaoi, I was like a kid in a candy shop.

Renta is a great ebook site, easy to buy and you can read mangas anywhere. On computer, iPad or phone! Plus on some manga’s you can get extra pages content only from Renta. My Yaoi addiction is deepening. Renta was a great discovery, now Renta and Sublime manga are my main Yaoi source.

The first book I brought was Boy Suit Fetish. It was a good first choice. The story has a nice pace. I like the chemistry between the male characters. The fetish theme added spice to the foreplay.

Yoji Kuroe a graphic design student, asked Toma Kishida a fashion student to make his outfit. Toma is a very talented fashion design, highly request by others for him to design. However, Toma has a fetish for clothing. He agrees to create Yoji’s outfit but only if he model for him wearing skin-tight, full-body spandex.

Yoji agrees to his terms and model for Toma. Toma couldn’t resist temptation and get sexual satisfaction seeing and feeling Yoji in tights spandex. He admitted to Yoji that he has a fetish for clothing.

At first, Yoji was creeped out by Toma’s fetish, but Toma’s erotic touch make Yoji very aroused. Each session gets kinky and sexual. Both Yoji and Toma are very cute together. Their relationship with each other is easy going and blessed as they spend more time together. Yoji being to understand Toma personality and is willing to satisfy Toma clothing fetish.

I personally enjoyed reading Boysuit Fetish. The fetish theme brings a quirk to the story.

The art style is done very nicely and the manga is easy to follow. I read Boy Suit Fetish most of the time.

I am very interest in reading Uni Yamasaki’s other manga “Pure Ties are Sweeter“

Singing in Japanese is Fun! Learn Japanese by Singing

Singing in Japanese is fun and effective. I like to sing than speaking.

The anxiety and stress almost disappear when I sing. I love to sing anime opening songs. my favorite is One Piece and Junjo Romantica. They are both my favorite anime to watch.

Children learn the language effectively by singing. Singing helps memory, re-enforce new vocabulary and pronunciation. It a great way of exercise the mouth muscle too. You gain speed in talking just by singing a lot.

There are so many benefits in singing, as well as health and well-being a benefit too.

I suffer from anxiety daily. Something the anxiety can creep up on me and causes me to feel uncomfortable. Going out can be a stressful situation for me. I use to take a remedy to ease stress and anxiety. But since I began to sing in Japanese I feel so relaxed and anxiety free.
Now sing more in Japanese daily. I sing while I am walking. When I do feel nervous or anxious I just sing any anime song.

Another great benefit fact, Japanese people love to sing. if you sing in Japanese they would want to be your friend! Karaoke is one of Japanese passion, everyone sing karaoke either they are young or old.
Singing in Japanese it very easy. it’s perhaps Japanese sounds are simpler than English sounds. English words sound has complicated sounds and phonics.
I write the lyrics down on paper. I practice and practice until I master a few lyrics.

overall, singing is the best method for learning a new language.
Tips for singing in Japanese:

  • Break down the song into small parts on paper.
  • Listen to the song first before you practice.
  • Take your time singing
  • Don’t worry about making a mistake, carry on singing if you are stumbling.
  • Sing while standing up, to fill more oxygen into the lungs.
  • Find lyric that’s in Romaji or Hiragana.
  • Most anime opening has the lyrics display for you to sing along.
  • learn most children song too as they are easier to sing along.

What inspires your art? Main Inspiration for My Illustrations

This will give you an idea of how i develop an my own art style from taking inspiration from other artist. I discovered them during my art education. they are the basic guidelines i use whenever I am working on an illustration or comic.

Calligraphy

Often my drawing or paintings has gesture, scribbles inspired by calligraphy writing. At college I was fascinated with the beautiful lines of calligraphy strokes. I researched Chinese, Arabic or traditional English calligraphy.

I made a mood board of the calligraphy collection on my Pinterest.

I did practice calligraphy writing. Then I started the habit to including calligraphy scribbles in my drawings. The rush energetic scribble lines give my drawings an edge. I was drawn to the movement of lines. My older artwork just had scribble. Then I developed calligraphy writing techniques and write some random word or alphabet along side with the drawing.

Jose Parla

Jose Parla uses calligraphy drawings for his abstract paintings. He was the first artist that inspired me to combine calligraphy into painting. His paintings appear like an urban calligraphy street art. His artwork have so much elementals of collage and scribbles all combined together in one massive piece. It very similar to Jackson Pollock works.

Dave McKean

Dave McKean is my next artist that I was inspired by. He creates unique drawing, combining mix media, collage and digital in illustrations. I likehis drawing the most especially his graphics novel illustrations in his books ‘A Picture that Tick’.

He illustrated one of my favourite childhood book ‘Varjak Paw’ by S.F.Said

Jean Haines

I love Jean Haines has approach to watercolour. Her watercolour style is very close to how I like to paint with watercolour, Her watercolour painting organic, loose and free. She instantly become one of my favourite watercolour artist and inspiration for watercolour. After I graduated, I wanted to include more vibrant colours in my illustrations. I felt my artwork was dull and abit too dark in topic. It her use of colours, she teaches how to use pure colour from paint. I learn watercolouring techniques from Jean Haines for my watercolour illustrations.

Frank Miller Sin City graphic Novel

Frank Miller’s Sin City gritty. I liked how he use negative space within the black background. Some have key colours for key characters for example in ‘That Yellow Bastard‘. I liked the use of composition and great dialogue. (I did watch the movie too)

It was good to explore different style of comics not just manga. I learn a lot from the drawing techniques reading Sin City. It made me consider negative space for drawing.

I trying to find and experiment with different drawing techniques while I’m working on my comic. I would like be authentic in my comic artwork.

Sin City Frank Miller

Shungiku Nakamura Junjo Romantica

My personal favourite and main manga inspiration for my own manga. Shungiku Nakamura’s drawing style are different to the traditional style in most manga comics. I love the direction, layout and storyline. I always refer to Nakamura mangas for tips for creating boy love romance.

Crotchet Cute Neko. Mio Chan and Snowy Chan

During the weekend, I created two small Neko’s from ‘Little Bears Crotchet’ free pattern. Creating them was so much fun. I got myself hooked into crotchet.

I discovered the wonderful possibility you can do with crocheting. I have so much old yarn use for knitting. I don’t knit as much these day as I use a years ago. I mostly knit during the winter for hat or scarf. So I try crotchet with my old yarns.

Mio chan enjoyed of good of Finder. Naughty gal!

Crocheting is very easy, once I learnt the basic techniques and understood how to read the abbreviations I was able to create cool amigurumi toys.

They look so cute! I found so much joy in craft. The weekends is time I spend on craft. I would like to explore different crafts such as embroidery. So far Crotchet and Needle Felting I enjoyed the most.

Manga Review: The World’s Greatest First Love: The Cases of Ritus Onodera.

Screen Shot 2018-12-05 at 16.14.19.png

Artwork and Story by Shungiku Nakamura.

English published: Sublime manga.

Genre: A slice of life/ romance/ Comedy

The Junjo Romantic saga continues with a new romantic stories and hot couples.

Ritus Onodera is a rookie at the shoujo manga editing department. The work is very tight with deadlines. Ritus is inexperience editing shoujo mangas. His boss, Masamue Takano is strict, cold and take no-nonsense.

However Takano was Ritus first love. When Takano recognised him, he forces himself to make Ritus fall in love with him again.

Takano is very persistent on making love to Ritus and doesn’t want to lose Ritus again. Ritus denies that he loves Takano but his internal feeling saying otherwise. The sexual chemistry between Ritus and Takano is and unusual but intriguing.

The sexual tensions is on point in every volume, very hot, saucy bedroom action! Just as you expect of Shungiku Nakamura’s manga’s. Most Bl manga are is too fast with the bedroom action. In Junjo Romantic and World’s greatest first love there alot of building up with he romance interest and plot development

The manga starts get interesting in Volume 3 when the relationship between Ritus and Takano get steamy and intense. Also Volume 3 there is a sub story of Shota Kisa and Kou Yukina.

There is a separate manga World Greatest first Love, Chiaki Yoshino and Yoshinyuki Hatori. Which is not available in english publication to buy. Only Japanese publication.

I was disappointed that Chiaki Yoshino and Yoshinyuki Hatori was not included in the sereis as in the anime.

Personally, Shungiku Nakamura is one of the best classic Yaoi/BL manga artist.

I really wished Junjo Romantica was re published in english publish again by Sublime Manga.

The anime is available to watch in crunchyroll.

I rate the manga series 6 out of 6 stars, highly recommended manga to read.
