Daily Sketchbook Drawing #3: Lance and the Butterfly
Tuesday: Continue Sketching Characters Expressions for New Comic

Tuesday: Continue Sketching Characters Expressions for New Comic
I resumed sketching my characters expressions and action for next comic pages. where Lance is being caught sneaking into Doctor Dresser’s Study room. I continue to use watercolour pencils and pens. Adding water to make the colours blend.
Now i am further developing the comic pages, by refining the panels and actions. I traced most of the sketchbook drawings using tracing paper and re-fined the characters. I enjoy this process of creating comics, it is fun. i am beginning to develop a visual style, Most comic artist spend hour in their studio drawing comics. I do not have a studio, i do my comic work in the library. My local Library is quiet, small. I have space and a place to really concentrate doing work. Plus i can read or borrow books. Recently i have being reading a Mills and Boon romantic book. There is large collections of Mills and Boon in most Library. I really enjoy reading Romantic books as well as Horror and Teen fiction.
I hope to complete the next pages by the end of this week. I might bring my ink pots and brushes with me to the library, if i am allowed.

Daily Sketchbook: Character doodle for Comic

Watercolour pencil and ink
Character sketches
Yesterday I went to my local library to relax and do doodle drawings on my hand made A4 Sketchbook. I was doodling characters for my new comic I am recently working on. I used my Watercolour pencil’s to sketch the character. Also the Watercolour pencils can blended with touch of water. The medium is close to a watercolour paint effect which great for adding tone or washes. It is very good medium for me to quickly use without the fuss with using watercolour paint all the time. The comic is primarily drawn with inks and watercolour. I almost complete 4 pages but I am still experimenting the visual style with ink and watercolour on this new comic.
Draft Drawing for New Comic
Comic: A Typical Friday Morning

Comic: A Typical Friday Morning
A comic of my daily life, I was planning on drawing something. last friday was windy and caught my attention. It had an inspiration to turn this moment into a comic. I still practicing making comics, it is easy to create comics in digital software such as Photoshop.
I may consider using watercolour to create a comic instead of using photoshop. I think it will make a difference in my comic art work and make it more original.
90% of my artwork is hand drawn and only 10% is digitally for the final touches. When I was younger, studying in school, I use to rely on digital software for creating cool artwork but I found brush ink drawing and water colour is becoming my prefer materials. I decided to focus mastering water-colour and ink as my primary mediums. Hopefully to create unique visual illustrations.
