Sonic could be Fixed after the Backlash to The New Sonic The Hedgehog Film.

The director, Jeff Fowler has announced there will be changes to Sonic

I thought it was a joke at first when I heard the news sonic will be redesign,

but it true.

The director has publicly announced on Twitter

That is a very bold statement. It must of hit them hard to hear the negative response to the appearance of Sonic.

I’m glad they got the negative criticism from the fans and films critics. I felt disturbed how sonic look. Visit my previous post on my reaction to Sonic The Hedgehog Movie film trailer.

I am still very confused about how Sega approved the design of Sonic in this film. The Sega franchise is based on sonic and his iconic appearance.

I welcomes the news of the changes to Sonic but I have my doubts.

Firstly It’s gonna be costly to Paramount Picture. They have to pay the animators extra time to reanimated and redesign Sonic. On top of that, they may have to compensate for other companies for the product license. Plus redo all the film poster. The list goes on. So they have just wasted a lot of money from this mistake.

Paramount could try to be cheap and not full change must appearance to Sonic because all those reasons of the marketing and re animating Sonic again.

Perhaps It was going to be a flop and Paramount picture was feeling nervous losing profit from the film.

It frustrated me that film studios don’t pay attention to the details from the game and completely butcher it.

Dr.Eggman looks great, I have no complaints about that

Changes in films happen all the time. A lot of scenes has to be edited, cut, are designed, even at the last minute of release. But in this film, there is going to be a major adjustment.

I believe it can be done in time. There are advance software technology and skills to reanimate and design Sonic by 6 mouths. The film release could be extended to make sure that the final visual details are approved. They just only focus on animate where Sonic appears.

Personally, I think someone who work with Sega games should be present in the animation or design process. Actually they should bring in a game animator into the studio.

It will be interesting to see how Sonic be re animated. Everyone will have to wait until the release date.
